Idle Mechanics
Some tasks take less focus than others. There are a number of various interaction points in the world that put you into idle XP mode. In this mode, a bar will tick down as you perform a task, and at the end you will be rewarded with relevant XP. Engage in these tasks if you want to continue leveling your character while focused on something else.
Low Focus Gameplay Options
Beyond simple Idle XP interactions, there are certain gameplay mechanics that require less focus. Some rocks that can be mined can be completed with basically zero attention (beyond the 30 minute max idle time), and fishing provides an “Auto-Reel” option that instantly attempts to reel in the hooked fish (rather than triggering the more active fish fight minigame). Woodcutting is also a very low-focus option, requiring no interaction from the player.
Notably, all of these game mechanics can have their speed increased if the player chooses to pay attention. Each of them offer repeatable speed boost interaction options that increase the speed of the activity, thus increasing your XP gained and your total number of rewards.
Future Roadmap
Idle and low-focus gameplay is a major focus of the future roadmap, with my intention being to introduce many novel ways that you can gain XP while keeping Spirit World on your second monitor.
